Welcome to the home page of the Department of Community Health and Recreation at the campus of University of Maine at Farmington. Our department houses the Bachelor of Science Degree in Community Health along with minors, concentrations and certificate programs in ski industries, school health, nutrition, physical fitness, athletic coaching and child and adolescent health education.

Students enrolled in the UMF Department of Community Health and Recreation are able to work with faculty members renowned for their expertise in teaching, research and professional service. Faculty and staff are committed to helping students achieve their academic goals and prepare for life after UMF. As a student you will get to know your professors as they work with you in class as well as outside of the classroom. Our department has an extensive network of prospective employers and our graduates are working in a variety of health related settings around the country.
